New to salsa:
If you are completely new to dancing Salsa Academy is the place for you. It doesn't matter if you've had no experience or if you are a bit shy or nervous, we'll look after you and make sure you get the attention you need in a comfortable learning environment with friendly instructors and like-minded people.
Experienced in Salsa:
If you are experienced and want to perfect and further your dancing and take take it higher level, or even if you are slightly disillusioned or frustrated with your experience so far, we can help you. We deliver structured crystal clear tuition in a completely unique system of courses where our instruction method imparts the material to you to a depth and clarity unlike and unparalleled in any other establishments.
Expert in Salsa:
If you think you've reached your peak, then think again; we can give you the tools and in-depth knowledge to enable you to explore your full potential. You will be amazed at how our innovative system will demystify all the techniques and reveal the full magic of the salsa dance. We'll show you how to make your following or leading slick, crisp, smooth and stylish.
Promoter/Professional in Salsa:
If you are an instructor, or run salsa clubs already, then we offer tightly controlled and comprehensive and consistent training for you and your staff. You will be safe in the knowledge that once your staff have been trained by us you will be offering consistent, clear and concise teaching to your students who will come come back time after time.
What is Salsa Academy?
Salsa Academy is a dance academy which is specifically and solely designed to teach and help you learn Academy Method Salsa (AMS). Our unique syllabus is based on a highly structured dance system which is delivered in conjunction with a totally unique and comprehensive teaching system. Salsa Academy is run by quality instructors focusing on maximising the full potential of each dancer.
How does Salsa Academy work?
Our system is unparalleled.
General
We have completely abandoned the traditional view of levels. Instead we have a Unit and Module system that reflects the way we construct the dance for our students. This radical and pioneering approach enables students to learn faster and demystify the magic of true freestyle salsa dancing whilst unlocking their full potential. You'll learn in a very different way to normal salsa classes, and you'll gain expertise and knowledge about the dance that is unique to our method of instruction. Your depth and breadth of understanding at the end of each course will be unparalleled compared to traditional classes.
Courses, Units & Modules
All tuition is delivered through set courses adhereing to the syllabus. Each course represents a Unit, where a Unit covers an element of the dance. 4 Units comprise a Module. Modules build upwards. For a more detailed explaination of how this works please click on "Tuition" on the menu bar.
Assessments
All courses include an assessment leading to certification. If you are an instructor or aiming for instructor status, Salsa Academy offers Instructor Courses that will teach you the theory and the tools to deliver fantastic classes to your students.
