How do the Units and Modules fit together?
Imagine a pie cut into 4 - these would be the Units. The pie is the module. The modules stack up on top of each other. You start by doing all the Units in the first Module-1. The Units within a Module make you a well rounded dancer. After the first Module you are ready to progress to the next Module and so on. Each Module prepares you for the next one up. In the first Module-1 only Units A & B are glued together in a 12 week course - this is because the content taught this way gives the necessary reference and context for the framework on the Units.
Do I have to do the courses in order to take the assessments?
No. You can take assessments on their own. But that would be like taking an A-Level and not doing the course. You might be very good at aspects of the content, but to get the full picture and accurate understanding you are advised to do the course first. Even if you are an accomplished dancer you'll learn some important material. We are totally committed and dedicated to making sure all our students are equipped with all necessary understanding and furnished with correct techniques. You rest assured that every one of our students who graduates a Unit or Module will know their "stuff".
I am an experienced dancer, so do I have to start with the first Module-1?
No, though you will have to pass the assessments to gain access to the next Modules. There is no way round this. However, we do offer Fasttrack-Refresher courses which cover the course content in one session. It is still recommended to do the full course though. The reason we cannot allow students to move up Modules without passing assessments is that we need to be assured that students are employing the correct techniques with other students in those Modules. Even the instructors and founders have had to go through every course and assessment - no exceptions.
